Barney Frank Wants Your Cash
“Yes, I believe, later on, there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of rich people out there that we can tax at a point down the road to recover some of this money.”
Democratic U.S. Representative Barney Frank explained for CNBC that the next president, Barack Obama of course, will have to spend bigtime on social programs, and he said he believed that increase in spending could be covered partially be raising taxes on later on.
You have Obama preparing to ’spread the wealth around’ and other democrat leaders calling for tax increases. The ‘Robin Hood’ Democrats seem to be revving up the Socialist engine, no?
You heard it, folks. Tax increases in a ‘weak’ economy. What do you think?

I think you’ll do anything to dog the democrats. I get it, you live in florida, but tone it down a bit. I love this blog, but your making daily visits harder.
Reply to RJThan maybe we shouldn’t have bailed out the banks. that was socialism and that was the Republican plan. So, who are the socialists?
Reply to RacerXI soooooo want to copy and paste this article, but I will restrain myself. Just go read it.

Reply to America LoverGreat article, but you know as well as I do the dumbocraps who come here won’t believe a word of it. You know they have all suckled the nectar from the teat of the messiah. Anyone who speaks the truth or even questions the messiah on his policies will be discredited, ruined and dragged through the perverbial mud.
When you read this article it only goes to prove that the only thing that newspapers are good for is wrapping fish or lining the bird cage. Thats why nobody reads papers anymore. There full of the same thing the bird is dropping on them.
I don’t know, Orson Scott Card wrote the article and he is responsible for the book “Enders Game”. A book which is to me just a lefty hybrid of Starship Troopers and Dune.
Reply to shfelbyIn other words, lefties might listen to this guy.
Reply to shfelbyDon’t hold your breath, shfelby, there’s plenty of room under the bus. He can keep Grandma Dunham and Rev. Wright company.
And for the record, I liked Ender’s Game. I heard OSC filling in for a conservative radio show guy (Levin, maybe?) and it took me a few minutes to realize that he was the author of the book, I assumed that all writers like that were left of center.
Reply to Peeved GuyEver read Starship Troopers or Have Spacesuit Will Travel from Robert Heinlein? If not then I highly recommend ‘em. Especially Starship Troopers. It will help further mold your conservative mind.
Reply to shfelbyIt’s been years since I was on my Heinlein kick, about 20 or so, well before I gave a crap about politics of any sort, so the left/right leanings of either would have been lost on me. I’ll have to read them again.
Once I read Farnhams Freehold and I Will Fear No Evil, I got kinda burned out on him.
Reply to Peeved GuyI would say the same for myself. When I read those I wasn’t much of a political guy. I was becoming more familiar, but still in the infant stages. Heinlein burned me out too after awhile, but that goes for most authors. Can only read one or two bokks from the same author before it all starts sounding the same.
Reply to shfelbyAnyway, thought Ender’s Game was good, but it seemed to rip so much off of starship troopers that I was a little disappointed. Also, ender’s game focused in on one kid as the savior, while starhip troopers made it clear that everyone is capable of being a hero. I agree with that message.
